Wokingham Karate club

Basic move and block
move and attack

Working with partner doing above
then above routine with added free move

sparring in close circle with hands only
above but with kick as 1 in 3 moves

50 med ball press (throws)
10 weighted club wrist twist and push (each arm)
10 weighted club double handed thrust from horse stance (each arm)

Karate Training and conditioning:
Run to warm and stretch.
Conditioning circuit using plyometrics and core: lung jumps, clap press-ups, abb wheel rollout from standing. (x2 circuits, second one we did squat jumps and clap knuckle press-ups)
Katas with critical examination and correction.

knee's and elbows (no pads)

Training at Wokingham Karate Academy.

Kata's (Di ichi & Ni)

straight line katas (ichi, Ni and Saifa)

using lower leg to push oponent off balance, learnt at least 4 methods and then used a method similar to sticky hands to practice.

jab & cross
jab, cross & hook
low hook (to kidney area) emphasis on power building
elbow combos
open hand hit (straight and circular)
